Resumen
This work was developed with the purpose of describing the denotative and connotative aspects within a linguistic context that is related to the types of texts used by the teacher in pedagogic activities, mainly in high school, highlighting the difficulty in interpreting texts in school everyday. It is considered that there are many students with flaws in reading and, therefore, the school has a function, not just of content; but also as a formator of citizens prepared for the sharing of knowledge in society, as well as subjects capable of interpreting linguistic signs followed by speeches and writings. Therefore, this work contributes to the professionals so they can have more information about the need to use strategies and methodologies so that the students have knowledge about the types of texts, with the ability to classify them, understanding the context presented by them. In this perspective, the common curricular base presents within its proposal axes that represent language practices involving orality, reading / listening, production and linguistic / semiotic analysis, stimulating the student to seek the content relation. However, practice presents a significant differentiation, being necessary to act through the knowledge of language and language in society, making simulations in pedagogic activities of how reading and writing is important and widely used in daily life and social life. It was verified in the course of this study that the National Curricular Parameters understands the complexity of this practice and seeks to assist the teacher in the classroom. However, reading refers to a production of meanings, capable of disseminating their knowledge, starting from familiarity with reading. Teachers should be able to awaken active readers who will consequently be able to read, understand and interpret texts, involving aspects of connotation and denotation as described in this course completion paper.
