Resumen
Coke Guide Cars are specific machines of Coke Battery Plants whose function is to guide the coke out of the Battery into a hopper. The machine is transported on rails on a floor level above the buckets for which the coke is guided, and has the following specific subfunctions: open oven door, advance and retreat cage, clean door frame (front metal face of the oven) and close oven. On average there are 170 cycles per day, and there is no demand for 3 machines in 24h / day. The maintenance plan of these machines has tasks based on time (plan services) and condition (services derived from the inspection plan). The objective is to propose actions to modify the maintenance plan based on the MTBF per cycle of ovens pushed, increasing its Reliability. The work is carried out at the facilities of the Coke Batteries plant of ArcelorMittal Tubarão Coke Plant located in the municipality of Serra, ES. All 3 Coke Guides in the plant are analyzed. The collection of data for the quantitative research is done by collecting the history of defects in the Coke Guides, where the occurrence of failure recorded in the daily production operational reports and the computerized maintenance system (SISMANA) will be considered. Currently, the Coke Guides Reliability indicator considers that the machines operate 24 hours a day, which is not a fact. A specific Reliability Indicator based on cycles (ovens pushed) will be created. Then, using LDA (Life Data Analysis), there is a life distribution model for each subfunction of the machine. With the models of each subfunction, the RBD (Reliability Block Diagram) is used to find probabilistic model of System Reliability, in this case, the Coke Guides. Pareto identifies the main causes of occurrences involving critical systems. As a result, there is a proposal to revise the maintenance plan for the Coke Guides based on cycles (ovens pushed), which is a different view of the current maintenance plan. It is a paradigm break as maintenance philosophy, because the usual is the maintenance plan of these machines by time.
