Resumen
This work aims to insert, in chemistry classes, a thematic project that remits a content addressed in the classroom, in order to assess whether the inclusion of it favors the learning of chemistry discipline. By wide demand in the search for alternative methods for the teaching of chemistry, this proposal is considered an effective device these days. This is because the method provides the student learning and understanding in a relaxed way and, above all, an interaction between peers and teachers. The activity aimed to assess knowledge and perceptions about organic functions, then it was applied a questionnaire before and after the project. Results showed improved knowledge after implementation, thus indicating the importance of the thematic project that contributes to students' understanding of the subject being discussed in class.
