Resumen
The scratch test plays an important role in the understanding of studies of tribological systems. It aims to contribute to the optimization of these systems in hot and cold conditions. There is a great demand for component failure due to wear to the hot condition, but the standardized indenter undergoes graphitization under these test conditions.Currently there is no standardized indenter that meets high temperature levels for the scratch test. In this work, he designed, fabricated and tested a carbide tool based on the requirements of ASTM G171-03. ASTM A36 steel was used as samples material, which were subjected to scratch, interferometry and hardness tests. A strong correlation tendency was found for values of coefficient of friction (Cof), hardness to risk (HSp), and the tool behaved not to wear. However, it did not reach loads higher than 70 N, and presented buckling in the course of the tests for this load.

Kinetic and thermodynamic analysis of knotted proteins folding mechanism using chaotropic agents and single molecule studies: Role of non native contacts during the threading mechanism of MJ0366 from Methanocaldococcus jannaschi
Valenzuela, María Antonieta; Baez, Mauricio; UNIVERSIDAD DE CHILE (2018)Knotted proteins constitute a group of topologically complex proteins whose backbone chain entangles in the folded state. During folding, these proteins has to thread one end of the polypeptide chain through a knotting ... -
Quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics investigation of the ethene polymerization mechanism catalyzed by a bulky diimine-Ni(II) complex
Ferreira, Daví A. C; Meneghetti, Simoni M. P; Oliveira Neto, Marçal de; Rocha, Willian R; Meneghetti, Mario R (Sociedade Brasileira de Química, 2011)In this work we describe a theoretical investigation of the ethene polymerization reaction catalyzed by a bulky cationic α-diimine Ni(II) complex. We employed the combination of density functional theory (DFT) and molecular ...
