Taxa de aplicação superficial associada a hidrogramas qualitativos em wetland construído

Abstract

Widely used in France, French vertical-flow constructed wetlands are great options to alternative systems for sewage treatment in decentralized regions. The maintenance is easy and the costs of implantation and operation are low. The Wetland used for this study receives effluent from a university restaurant. Four batches with different superficial application were applied to get flow hydrographs for laboratory analyzes. Then it was possible to analyze the influence that the variations of the sewage application rate caused in the system. Through the graphical analysis, it was possible to verify that the COD efficiency variation decreases proportionally with the increase of the application rate, but the correlation calculations show results of 54% only for the application rate of 0.3m³ / m².d, in the other rates the correlation is not shown in both the graphs and the calculations.
