Resumen
The development of systems for converting energy from renewable sources into electricity has increased significantly due to growing concern about the degradation of the environment and a possible shortage of energy of fossil origin. The systems based on hydro power and wind power of small powers have considerable unexplored potential and can contribute to the increase of the penetration of renewables in the production of electric energy. Laboratory testing of these systems is critical to validating innovative integrated solutions. In this context, the emulation of the primary machines of water and wind energy conversion systems is essential, through laboratory devices that reproduce and emulate the operating conditions. The objective of this work is the implementation of an experimental platform for the emulation of turbines, hydro and wind. The mechanical energy conversion system is based on synchronous permanent magnet generators, which can be driven by a gearbox, and an electronic power conversion system for connection to the conventional power grid and / or a microgrid. This system integrates commercial and low-cost generic inverters, namely photovoltaic inverters. The emulation platform consists of the integration of a conventional frequency converter, a three-phase induction motor, and a control system with a LabVIEW interface for turbine emulation and monitoring.
