Resumen
The use of treatment systems of waste biomass, production and use of biogas help to promote positive impacts and strengthening in the diversification of the energy matrix, improving quality of life conditions on farms, reducing rural exodus, and consequently obtaining new sources of income. The objective of this work was to verify the growth of biogas plants in distributed generation (dg) in brazil, in order to contribute with the brazilian energy sector. The results show that the states of Minas Gerais, Paraná and Santa Catarina stand out as the distributed generation of electricity by biogas, having up to this point 67, 17 and 17 units in DG, respectively, within a universe of 276 biogas plants cataloged in Brazil. This result is due to the incentive policies, geographical location and animal production, that favor and encourage the implementation of these kind of units. Therefore, the monitoring platform to update the biogas plants in DG in Brazil contributes to the structuring of the Brazilian electric sector.
