Resumen
Increasing annual maintenance budgets mean that companies need to be more assertive when allocating resources. Therefore, the greater the knowledge of the behavior of its assets, the greater the chances of performing a maintenance in the right time, thus minimizing the probability of its failure. This work is a case study that objective to calculate the reliability of the Monte Seco L1 tunnel rails based on the history of rails failure and to define when they should be replaced remaining rails of the location. For this work a collection of reliability distributions was performed and the software Weibul++ was used to define the best reliability distribution, reliability calculations and generation of rails reliability graphs. The study results in the reliability of the tunnel rails and the proof of the need to replace the remaining rails.
