Resumen
This final course paper has the objective of develop studies about the behavior of a modified SEPIC converter with an altered magnetic coupling used with a small wind power system. To that end, it was studied means of getting a higher performance of energy gain, through the use of converters. Looking for results such as high static gain with reduced values of duty cycle and a low voltage value on the key compared to the output voltage. The study started on the usual topologies for DC-DC converters, as well as the SEPIC converter on its original topology and went on until it reached the proposed topology. For a qualitative analysis, simulations of the circuit were performed, and after that took place the circuit design phase, followed by the practical implementation of the circuit. During the experimental tests, the waveforms over several circuit components were captured in a variety of situations, and were presented on the results section. Finally, it was developed a comparative study between the results obtained on the experimental tests against the theoretical study of the proposed topology, concluding that the converter behaved as expected, with a high static gain for low voltages, but the efficiency was less than 90% for potencies clos to 100 W.
