Resumen
Attention to the scientific truth of information, where the images and short texts overlap the logic of research and critical analysis, as well as the absence of an investigative stance, we agree that the studies of concepts related to genetics exert little influence on the formation of opinions in students. In this context, the objective of this work was to analyze how common sense interferes in the learning of genetics, as well as if there is a change in the students' arguments after the teaching / learning process. The methodological work proposal, a case study, was carried out through a qualitative / quantitative research, the data were checked through closed questionnaires for students of the 2nd and 3rd year of the Secondary School of the State Public Network of SP. The use of common sense as a response to most of the proposed situations was verified, with scientific knowledge and critical arguments being deprecated in the analysis of the majority of students.
