Análise da comercialização de bezerros de corte no sudoeste do Paraná

Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate the choices of calf buyers in auctions at Southwest region of Paraná State, as well as the price variation obtained for those animals. Thus, auctions from five municipalities were evaluated within five years period. Analysis was performed upon breeds sold at the region, divided in classes, as follows: B (british), BZ (british x zebuin), C (continental), Z (zebuin) and CZ (continental x zebuin). The influence of final price was analysed, according to live weight of calves weighting between 160 and 250 Kg, considering traits related to size of calf lots and weight of animals. Calves were distributed in byotipe classes, size of lots T1 (1 to 10 animals), T2 (11 to 20 animals) and T3 (21 to 40 animals) and weight P1 (160 to 190 Kg), P2 (191 to 220 kg) and P3 (221 to 250 kg). Information obtained in this work are valuable for calves producers that can conduct the commercialization according to the best offer to determined class or weight of the animals to be commercialized.
