Resumen
Supermarkets became commercial establishments of great relevance in daily life, being one of the main means of commercializing food and other products. The size of buildings is increasing, as are the number of stores and processes, and consequently the consumption of electricity. The objective of this work is to analyze the main productive processes that have been taking place inside the supermarkets and to analyze opportunities for the implementation of energy efficiency measures, resulting not only in the reduction of electric energy consumption, but also in the efficiency of operations and production index. In the development of this work, a literature review is carried out on the concepts and works attributed to energy efficiency, both in industries and supermarkets, including tariff analysis, energy matrix and economic performance of supermarkets, energy management standards and systems, alternative generation sources and methods of optimization in processes and equipment in the consumption of electric energy. Based on the knowledge acquired through the literature review, it was possible to analyze a supermarket located in the city of Curitiba, where data were collected for the elaboration of an energy diagnosis.
