dc.description.abstract | This work consists of computational modeling and numerical solution of domestic oven door models to reduce the temperature of the front surfaces for greater safety and energy efficiency during their operation. A standard geometry of the door of a domestic oven was obtained, a computational model was generated, and the tridimensional numerical solution, in steady-state, was performed using the open-source OpenFOAM software. The influences on temperature are shown as a function of the radiation model used, as well as material variations for each subcomponent of the door, in isolation and combination. In addition to the materials, three geometry modifications, of different complexity, are also modeled, solved, and compared with the base model. These modifications were then compared to each other and their effects on the reduction of frontal surface temperatures, ie, obtaining the cold wall, are evaluated. | |
