Resumen
This work has the suggestion to implement a differential protection algorithm for synchronous managers using a computational method, developed with the Matlab/ Simulink@ platform, based on the GE-489 relay from the manufacturer General Electric, aimed at teaching systems protection for undergraduate students, and research. In order to prove the characteristics of the selection and selection of protection and protection resources, filtering and signal sampling routines, the modeled power system and simulations of single-phase-to-ground, two-phase-to-ground and three-phase-to-ground faults were performed. They were specified by the module implemented in the locations that comprise a protected internal and external zone. The results obtained demonstrate that the computational logic performed correctly in the detection of internal faults in a protected zone and the blocking of external fault operations in all simulated cases, validation of the implemented module.
