Redução de desperdícios utilizando os conceitos lean em uma construtora de pequeno porte

Abstract

Currently in companies, particularly in the construction sector, there is a constant search for new concepts and techniques that help to reduce and eliminate waste resulting from their production processes. Construction companies of this sector, once they present many manual activities, usually have various forms of waste, which can affect the cost and the time required for completion of the works and bring harm to business. From this scenario and the great potential for improving the construction sector companies present, the main objective of this work is to analyze and propose improvements in a work. It is done using the concepts of lean production with goal of reducing waste generated in the construction process. For the application of the theory, there was a study in a building work of a small construction company located in Campinas-SP region. For the success of this work, there was the need to delve into tools used in lean manufacturing with the challenge in applying them in the construction sector. The proposals, as well as some of the results obtained, show that the lean production concepts can bring considerable benefits to the construction industry.
