Resumen
The increase of globalization and industrial competitiveness makes the search for efficiency become routine in manufacturing companies. Increasingly, more products need to be made available, with high quality, using fewer resources. Lean production is an ally of companies to achieve this goal and remain competitive, also reaching increasingly efficient processes. This work aims to propose improvements in the processes of an animal nutrition factory located in the western part of the state of Paraná, using tools of lean production. In order to achieve the objective, the mapping of the production process was carried out, with a survey of the production and timing stages of each of the activities of the process, a value flow map was created. We used the value stream map and on-site observations of the processes to propose improvements for the company, it was identified that the transport between the stock of raw material and weighing scales, as well as the movement in that area, are sources of waste and A great time of stock. Therefore, it was proposed to change the layout, reduce inventory times and implement a 5s program to solve the problems raised. A plan of action to solve the problems was proposed using the PDCA cycle to highlight all the stages of implementation, verification and sustainability of the proposed improvements. With the proposed changes, it is expected to reduce production lead time by 50%, resulting in 240.65 total hours, of which 240 hours are expected in inventories, 0.236 hours is the total cycle time of operations and 0.418 hours is the time Spent on moving and transporting the products during the process. The improvements proposed with the work aim to eliminate the related wastes and handling, transportation and stock.
