Resumen
Jet pumps are considered auxiliary pumps in the transportation of fluids and are designed for a variety of situations in the oil and gas industry. They are conventionally used in the oil and gas extraction, as well as more complex applications, such as wells with defective or brittle coating. A jet pump requires no mechanical induction and thus offers high reliability. Ejectors are known to work simply and robustly, with minimal wear and maintenance needs. The great advantage of the ejector is that there are no moving parts in their composition, thus being able to work in remote areas and under extreme conditions. In order to understand the fluid dynamics inside the jet pump and its operation, in this paper we study the viscous flow behavior. For the flow modeling, will be used an Eurelian mathematical approach together with constitutive equations for interfacial exchange for the liquid phases. For the numerical modeling was used the Finite-Volume Method based on elements with a fully implicit formulation. The discretized equations are solved by dynamic program computational fluid ANSYS CFX-14.5. The results will be validated with experimental data found in the open literature. From the numerical results will be analyzed the influence of viscous flow on the ejector performance. Also reviews of the key parameters that help in the design of an ejector, as mass flow, head pressure and pressure of the viscous phases as a function of the geometric variable nozzle-throat.
