Resumen
The automation in industries, especially food, is increasingly constant, since the
increase in demand requires increased production in less time. In this paper we dealt with regarding the automation of slaughterhouses turkeys, with the aim of developing an automated equipment to take the carcasses of turkeys in a line of cones cut by hand. The research began with an analysis of the physical space available for the equipment and the development of an idea of it. The machine is designed with the
use of tweezers automated, because it proved most effective solution before other
possibilities for their construction, as with the use of rings or guides. After defining the main structure, developed mechanical design, electrical and pneumatic equipment and built a prototype. Several tests were performed and adjustments to get to the final design, which achieved 100% efficiency in the removal of carcasses of turkeys. The work was very challenging because it allowed designing new equipment, which has become a feasible and efficient solution for slaughterhouses turkeys.
