Resumen
With the industrialization and modernization of production processes, the concept of quality of artisans, which had more to do with assessing technical perfection than with a management model itself, went through stages of development so that today we have the models and concepts current, more robust, which bring with them the most diverse benefits. The present work seeks to implement and test an improvement in the filling process line of the valve type in a flour industry in the city of Ponta Grossa-PR, reducing waste and rework. The objectives are to analyze the cause of the problem presented, implement a manual sealer at the end of the line as an option to reduce losses and if it was found that the change was an improvement, write a SOI (Standard Operating Instruction) standardizing the operation in detail, with all machine operation and cleaning parameters and procedures and, finally, carry out a control plan for monitoring non-compliant packaging and reworked packaging, serving as a process efficiency indicator. There was a reduction in the average breakage rate from 2.3% to 0.42%, providing an average reuse of 81%. In terms of product losses, without implementation, it would be 42050 kg, but with the rework, approximately 34300 kg were reused, which could have been sent for transfer, and which could be sent for commercialization, generating savings of approximately R $ 45,000, 00 during the months of implementation of the improvement.
