Resumen
Nowadays the equipments for measuring the density of liquids are not satisfacting the user ni some aspects, so that this project presents the development of a measurament instrument for liquid density using the refraction principles, composed by eletronics modules devided in hardware and software, and a mechanical optical module, and the calibration procedures. For that was performed a resaerch on metrology, density and optical concepts. There were were performed some tests for the proof of concept, calibration and validation of the results. On those tests were used the fuel mixture of etanol and water. With that was possible to verify that the frequency on which the light emiter operates can interfere on the result of the refraction index calculation, that the residual left on the recipeint by the last sample do not generate a significative error, and that using the mixture etanol-water invalidates the usage of the instrument on identifying the fraud on fuels, as the its chemical characteristics agenerates a region of ambiguity at the system.
