Resumen
Hydroelectric power plants using high volume of lubricants for operation of your machinery, lubricants can impact on the process of generating energy with the generation of fault events due degradation of their physical and chemical properties throughout your cycle. To ensure reliability and availability in the process of generating energy at Itaipu hydroelectric power plant was developed and deployed a management method of lubricants and lubrication based on Standardization of lubrication and predictive techniques relevant to the monitoring of the quality of the lubricating oil, aiming at with this method: optimize the allocation of technical manpower, control inventory levels of lubricants and so reduce financial expenditures with the maintenance of generating units (UG) installed in Itaipu. In the development of the work is discussed the comparison between the results of the oil analysis laboratory applied in generating units (UG) quality levels of the physico-chemical properties required by Itaipu (Itaipu and those levels defined by the manufacturer of lubricants used in hydroelectric and published in the study of Sihvenger et al. .2005), this comparison has assisted in defining the periodicity of replacement of oil cargoes and consequently in the resizing of the volume of oil in stock. As a result, the method deployed provided: the standardization of lubrication and avoiding lubricant contamination predictive techniques applied and of the sample during collection, the readjustment of sampling points, the development of procedure for choice of suitable cartridges, the establishment of adequate frequency for collection of samples of oil and for replacement of loads and the management of the recovery process of oil (for stock). The definition of a minimum inventory of 115,000 liters (volume to supply two UG's), avoids unnecessary expenses consequential with the emergency acquisition new oils and interruption of operation of UG's in the absence of such, ensuring availability and reliability for the process of generating energy from the Itaipu hydroelectric power plant with appropriate cost.
