dc.description.abstractCities are characterized as key points in human activity and in the transformation of environmental and social aspects. In this context, transportation and issues related to accessibility to services and equipment play a fundamental role. In this way, practical solutions are sought for transportation to develop alternatives that make the environment more adequate to the demands of displacement and accessibility of the population. Given the understanding of the relationship between accessibility to urban facilities and the city, there are characteristics that enhance displacement and materialize inequality in space. In this sphere, accessibility to health equipment and its relationship with the transport system are the object of this study. We sought to understand and interpret such relationships in Curitiba, through the survey and grouping of sócio-spatial data together with public transport and its accessibility to health services. Such data was computed in accessibility estimates calculated for public transport and active transport, through geoprocessing in the Qgis and DepthMap software. As a final result, it was noted how the structural axes through DOT and the distribution of health equipment in the territory design the organization of the space. Through areas with excellent levels of accessibility and with gaps in access to opportunities, persistent inequality was noted in relation to spatial segregation due to the uneven distribution of the transport system and the distribution of more specialized health equipment infrastructure. There are variations in accessibility according to the type of modal and travel time, but balanced given the scope of the health and transport system. It is also identified how the public transport system interferes with people’s decision-making for services.
