Resumen
Permanent Preservation Area is a space, covered or not by native vegetation, with the environmental function of preserving water resources, landscape, geological stability and biodiversity, as well as protecting the soil and ensuring the well-being of human beings. In view of this, the present work had as its theme the environmental management through the action in front of a great problem that is the protection and recovery of springs, which are responsible for supplying the watersheds and the springs. The protection was accomplished with the recomposition of the native vegetation through the planting of seedlings, with the enclosure of the APP (permanent preservation area) that is very important to hold moisture and to protect the springs and with the construction of a model source protection “Caxambu “Which was disseminated within the state of Santa Catarina by Epagri programs. With the implementation of this project were achieved beyond environmental protection for the safety of future generations and the environmental and ecological balance within the river basins, also the availability of drinking water to supply these rural properties.
