Resumen
Towards the constant human evolution, the environment has suffered constant attacks, which has become more noticeable because of the pollution caused by the evolution. To recover the polluted areas started to study possible treatments, between them, to recuperate the mining areas, that is, the soils contaminated by heavy metals. One of the methods that has proved effective is the phytoremediation, which is based on the use of plants as remedial agents in contaminated environments. Through this, the referent research proposes to verify the phytoextraction potential of the species Jatropha curcas L., knowledge as Pinhão - Manso. The soils samples were contaminated with lead salt, (CH3COO)2Pb, and chrome salt, K2Cr2O7, in different concentrations (72 mg, 180 mg and 300 mg for lead and 75 mg, 150 mg and 300 mg for chrome) per kilogram of soil. During the experiment period, 54 days, the plants had heights, number of leaves and physical aspects monitored, and after collection, all the samples were sent to the Laboratory Santa Rita, in the city of Mamborê - PR, to determine the adsorbed metals content. The results obtained in the phytoextraction of the samples showed that the species in question is able to absorb the metals in question.
