Proposição de um método de desenvolvimento de software utilizando fatores do método ágil Scrum e das práticas DevOps

Abstract

The delivery time of a software product directly influences different aspects of an organization: revenue, allocation of teams within the projects, investments and especially the delivery of the product itself. This delivery time can be influenced by several factors such as inefficient management, disorganization in the project design, changes in software requirements, etc. To get around these issues, the Software Engineering area is always seeking to create or adapt existing methods and methodologies (recommended practices for software development, for example) that help developing software products not only quickly, but also trying to maintain a certain level of quality. This final work had as the main objective proposing a software development approach that will be applied to teams that have up to 10 members, a number suggested by Schwaber e Sutherland (2020), creators of the Scrum framework. This approach will be based on factors of Scrum, DevOps practices and tools that support such practices. To validate the approach, a case study was conducted with a group of users who worked on the development of a web application, and then they answered a questionnaire that helped to map the users’ perception in relation to the comparison between the use of the approach and more traditional software development methods. Thus, it is intended with this final work to show that, using this approach, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the software development process, in order to reduce the delivery time.
