Resumen
The main objective of this study was to analyze how the use of assistive technology in science education for students with chronic sequelae of nonprogressive encephalopathy could provide positive results. Therefore, it was necessary to make a partial review of the information about the concept of Chronic Encephalopathy, its main causes and types, and analyze the characteristics in the student profile with this type of neurological disorder. It was also necessary to explain the concept and the use of assistive technologies and present the main types of aid engine and overall they promote the lives of people with special needs. Thus , for the construction of this work to know the role of scientific literacy in teaching children PSNs , highlight their advantages and implications for the cognitive development of students , demonstrate how combining science education with assistive technology resources based on alternative communication , and how to adapt such content for students with chronic encephalopathy , and study how assistive technology can help teachers in their teaching strategies and how the use of technological resources can help to minimize difficulties that teachers and students are usually in the teaching process and learning, communication and interaction was extremely important and constructive. The research allowed seizure of knowledge that become more productive working with people with special needs, and contribute much to the relationship between technology and content will fortify in order to significantly improve the process of teaching and learning.
