dc.description.abstract | The advent of Building Information Modeling (BIM) has revolutionized the mode of thinking in the art of designing structures and brought a way of solving with a high level of precision, through the interoperability between software used for the elaboration of building projects, one of the main mistakes made in projects which is the lack of compatibility. However, the IFC format used to accomplish this task and programs for structural project development are still evolving. This paper aims to analyze and compare the degree of interoperability development from tools of the main calculation and design software for reinforced concrete structures in Brazil: Eberick, TQS and Cypecad. In order to carry out the analysis and comparison, the architectural and hydrosanitary projects of an edification was develloped on Revit and exported in IFC format for use in the three modeling and compatibilization programs and then analyze the IFC format file of the three softwares under study using the Tekla BIMsight software. The results presented in this paper shows that each of the software has more functionality at different stages of interoperability and still needs to be improved to increase the reliability and accuracy of the BIM interoperability process. | |
