Resumen
The construction industry has adopted practices and policies aimed at the reduction of natural resources through the use of more efficient systems in buildings. As a result, there arises the concept of "green buildings" that allies the real estate value and the low consumption of water and energy, comfort and functionality. To qualify the performance of these buildings, the North American non-governmental organ US Green Building Council has developed an international voluntary certification system. This research seeks to assess the level of satisfaction of users who operated in three certified enterprises in the city of Curitiba-PR, through the use of questionnaires. This evaluates the thermal, acoustic, lighting comfort, air quality and work environment from the perspective of the user. As results, the survey data inferred satisfactory values for only one of the three buildings studied and complaints related to the air conditioning system of the other two. Finally, it is concluded that there is no guarantee of quality of the work environment just by being in an internationally certified building. Thus, the quest for improving the quality of the environment in which people live must not be linked only to certification marketing, but for the good of the human being.
