A cidade e suas funções sociais

Abstract

With the present study sought to conceptualize and discuss the social functions of the city. Urbanization in Brazil and the concept of town were highlighted, reported features of the municipality and of the social function of property. Previously conducted studies have been reported on social functions, in particular the letters of Athens and the master's thesis by Jorge Luiz Bernardi. In the end, it was mentioned the master plan as a basic instrument of development policy and urban sprawl run by Municipal public power to effect the social functions of the city.
