Estratégias competitivas da indústria de confecção: um estudo de caso da região de Apucarana

Abstract

The apparel industry is suffering negative impacts from exponential increasing of imports of clothing, especially Asian imports. There are reasons that justify the Asian increasing and the national decline. Because of that it was made a study of competitive strategies of enterprises in tree approaches: innovation, competitive cost and cluster. The study was made out a qualitative research for recognizing and deepening of the topic and a quantitative research out a questionnaire in enterprises of apparel industry of clothing, department with high representation in the region. The chosen region for the study was the region of Apucarana because it shows high number of establishments of apparel industry. The study revealed that the region really has a cluster structure, the companies started studying their production cost lately, they recognize the innovation purpose and other pieces from the studied competitive strategies were also revealed relevant.
