Estudo do impacto da eficiência energética em semáforos e análise da viabilidade de operação com painéis solares fotovoltaicos

Abstract

This paper presents a study on the impact of energy efficiency in traffic lights in the city of Curitiba, state of Paraná and in Brasil. The impacts caused by the replacement of incandescent bulbs with LED technology is the core of this study, and the consequent reduction of installed power, energy consumption and maintenance costs. Also it is proposed to include photovoltaic panels on traffic lights, seeking a sustainable operation. Through testing and electrical measurements are presented technical configurations, in which the results are examined individually and discussed from the perspective of the consumption profile and electricity pricing in Brasil.
