Detecção de defeitos no cordão de solda de tubulações de petróleo, através do processamento digital de imagens radiográficas

Abstract

This study presents an approach in detecting defects in weald seams by means of software, which assists the defect detection performed by the naked eye. It also discusses the concept of processing, treating of image and types of welding, as well as obstacles to detect defects from a radiographic oil pipe image based on literature relating to this topic. Complemented by research and analysis of results, the study found that the automation of the process in question obtained satisfactory results, and therefore is able to aid those skilled of weld to prevent problems in welding oil pipeline.
