dc.description.abstract | Designing and building an electric vehicle is a big challenge for students around the world which participates in the Formula SAE competition.Due to the recent growth of electric mobility and the prospects for the near future, developing technologies targeting at this market segment is of utmost importance.It is a way of promote the training of new professionals and, for that, such competition could be a great opportunity to develop and test new designs and technologies.The purpose of this work is to design a battery pack for a Formula SAE Electric team, UTForce e-Racing, presenting a system overview, vehicle dynamics modeling and lap time simulation using Optimum Lap software. As well as the analysis of battery pack usage, through Simulink software and the system enclosure, in a robust and safe manner. The system has been designed to meet all SAE international requirements and standards, with the greatest challenge, being able to provide the necessary autonomy to complete the Endurance test. | |
