Resumen
The technological development added up with the high consumption of raw materials and energy shows us the importance of studying atmospheric pollutants emitted by industrial processes. In order to determine the potential sources of air pollutants among the industries of Londrina and the effects of APM (atmospheric particulate matter) on the environment, the following study used data provided by the Ministry of Labor to identify and quantify the potentially polluting industries in the municipality, and thus characterize the production and generating processes of air pollutants in the food , beverages and ethyl alcohol industries, relating the effects of APM emitted on the peculiar environment of the municipality with the climatological data supplied by the National Institute of Meteorology. It was found that the production sector of food and drink has 506 establishments located and concentrated in the suburbs of the city, and the processes involving higher emissions of APM in the atmosphere are the ones of processing and preparing the product. The main factors of dispersal and intensification of MPA by region are: the wind, the amount of rainfall, the relative humidity and the solar intensity, and from these four factors to the season which could lead to greater damage to the environment is spring, and could entail minor injury is winter. The inferred potential effects on the environment are: soil infertility, inhibiting vegetation growth, characterization of the quality of the watershed, and development of respiratory, blood circulation and neurological diseases on the population.
