Resumen
The agro-industrial sector has a considerable impact on the Brazilian Gross Domestic Product, so the industries increase their production every year and as a result of this they need greater agility in grain storage. Because of this need, companies should look at some equipment that is of great importance in this area with greater priority, and among them we can highlight the mug elevator. As the years go by and technological advancement, the machines become obsolete quickly, however professionals look for solutions with the lowest cost, among them the retrofit, in this context, the work is justified by the need to establish improvement and maintenance actions for mug elevators used in the agribusiness, establishing as a general objective the realization of a retrofit project, evaluating the applicability of the tapered bushing, and the weld as an applicable resource to promote optimization, increase performance and prevent the functional failure of the machine by breaking the weld that joins the drum to the shaft that pulls the bucket elevator belt. In order to achieve the general objective, the following specific objectives were established: to acquire knowledge about the operation and applicability of the bucket elevator; identify whether the idealization of the functional changes developed by the project fit into preventive, corrective, predictive or retrofit maintenance; identify whether the use of the tapered bushing overlaps the weld joint; demonstrate the applicability of the project through calculations and prototypes and 3D design. After pointing out the proposed action and the development of the proposed methodology and the analysis of the project regarding the efforts applied between the roller and the shaft and the simulations developed, it was possible to conclude that due to the ease of maintenance, when in cases of shaft breakage, bearing, bearing or the drum itself, it is only necessary to disassemble the tapered bushing, a process that does not occur with welding, considering that the welded parts must be cut and often with this they no longer serve being lost axle and drum. As for the proposed functional changes, it was observed after the development of the proposal that the project applies in the retrofit category and not corrective or predictive maintenance, with a view to modernization and updating through the incorporation of materials that were proposed by the project. From all perspectives of analysis, the set with the tapered bushing is the retrofit proposal that best applies to the presentation of the proposed changes for the bucket elevator equipment.
