Abstract

The bodily functioning depends on the good blood flow, which circulates several vital components and works integrally exerting some pressure on the blood vessels, which can be altered by several factors. Thus, hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a chronic and silent disease whose treatment the Unified Health System offers some medicines for free. Among these drugs is atenolol, which is part of this study, whose objective is to evaluate the stability of the chemical solutions used in the routine laboratory of analysis of quality control of the company Prati-Donaduzzi through the elaboration of a stability study protocol for chemical solutions of work, evaluation of the stability of this solution in hours and the best form of storage after the preparation, avoiding wastes. After cost evaluation, literary survey, preparation of samples, performance of the chromatographic tests and the interpretation of its results, a stability for solution greater than 148 hours could be observed.
