Resumen
The unbridled exploitation of natural resources causes a number of impacts on the environment and society. The sustainable procurement can be applied in public institutions to contribute to the development of sustainable practices by the suppliers of goods and services, making it possible to minimize impacts to the environment, thus legitimizing their Social and Environmental Responsibility actions. Thus, this project aimed to conduct a case study on the practice of sustainable procurement in UTFPR-FB through the analysis of the bids made in UTFPR-FB in 2015 to verify the existence (or not) of sustainable criteria in purchase process and its influence on the sustainability of the Institution. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and interviews applied to the servers involved in the campus shopping process. From this it examined whether the existence of sustainable criteria in the development of office materials notice, but need to foster the integration of these criteria to a greater amount of items. It also identified the difficulties encountered by directly responsible servers and indirectly involved in the purchasing process to hold the Sustainable Public Procurement, thus ways have been suggested to improve the bidding process on campus. It was concluded that despite all the legal-normative basis, this is not sufficient to effect the Sustainable Public Procurement in UTFPR - FB. Lack actions for sensitization and training that result in practical measures, such as courses, training and projects aimed at the implementation of sustainability in public procurement.
