Resumen
Communication between devices has been growing and the concept of Internet of Things has been applied in the most diverse areas, being strongly present in industrial and residential automation. Due to the high demand for interconnected devices, the ways of communication are evolving and seek to increase communication capacity. To attend high scalability systems, the incorporation of technologies such as the Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol could be applied, that simply and efficiently performs communication between devices has been presented with an option for intercommunication in automation. This work presents the implementation and validation of an automation system developed based on the needs of a craft beer manufacturing company. The developed application has the purpose of performing the control and monitoring of a device for the craft beer fermentation process, being possible to obtain the temperature value and carry out the programming of the operating temperature for each device. As a result of the implementation, a minimum viable product was obtained to attend to the company’s demand. The result sustains that the communication and technologies used meet the system demand.
