Uso da avaliação visual da estrutura em solos sob diferentes usos e manejos

Abstract

Land degradation is the most responsible for the reduced productivity in agricultural systems and, if they are not adopted measures to mitigate it, it can become unsustainable agriculture. It is a problem difficult to reverse and expensive, so understand your processes and make its prevention early generate time and money savings. The use of the method of visual evaluation of soil structure (VESS) this work may show the overall quality of the soil in different management systems. The scores used in the method vain from 1 (excellent quality) to 5 (very poor quality). The treatments were secondary forest; Integrated crop – livestock (ILP) and planting system direct + hay. In each area were selected randomly 10 points and was applied VESS. The ILP treatments and SPD + hay did not differ from each other but were different from the forest, however within the treatment was possible to differentiate compacted layers. The ILP treatment this layer was the surface (0-10) because of animal presence and not being respected soil moisture for entry of animals for grazing, and the SPD + hay treatment the lower (10-25) was that they had higher scores (worse) due to traffic machines in operations involving the hay.
