Resumen
The water in industry is used for various purposes and often some of this water is returned to nature unusable. The agro-industrial effluent are capable of causing great impact on water bodies is released without proper treatment. A type of biological treatment in large wastewater treatment using anaerobic pond is, since it has low cost, ease of construction and operation, and produce quality effluent. In order to improve the efficiency of the pond is added bioadditive (microorganisms) in order to increase microbial population existing already promoting the desired biological processes, this technique is known as bioaugmentation. As with all biological process occurs in anaerobic lagoons Sludge production, this in turn decreases the useful volume of the pond bringing the need for removal. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of cleaning (dredging) of anaerobic lagoon 2 and the reduction of biological additive as regards the reduction of organic load. To evaluate the efficiency of the system samples were taken before and after dredging period. Assays for the measurement of COD were performed in-house laboratory. After evaluating the results efficiency (%) before and after dredging it is concluded that this practice, although it is a procedure that requires planning is the most advantageous option in terms of costs to maintain a good efficiency.
