Resumen
In the globalized scenario of doing business, organizations, regardless of size or branch, must constantly formulate and evaluate existing strategies to ensure survival and organizational competitiveness. That is, manipulate data from various sources efficiently, and make them effective actions to meet established goals and objectives. In this scenario, the use of computer-based Information Systems (IS) has become one of the most popular tools for identifying trends and predicting the unknown, making organizations more flexible to market fluctuations. But, it is important to emphasize that the indiscriminate use of IS can result in the opposite scenario, so it is essential to align with business strategies. This paper aims to describe the steps of developing an IS for a small company, firstly evaluating and identifying the management software currently marketed, as well as their respective functionalities and limitations. Characterizing the research regarding the approach, nature, objective and procedures as qualitative, applied, descriptive and documentary and case study, respectively. Because it is a software development specific to the company under study. At the end of this work, there is an IS that helps control and strategic decision making of the company.
