2000, 2005, 2010), Spot-4 (2012) e OLI/Landsat-8 (2014) e a missão SRTM.
The main objective of this study was to quantify the Permanent Preservation
Areas in bodies of waters and springs and to evaluate the land use conflict
at Piranha River basin, following the New Brazilian Forest Code Law (Law
12,651/2012). Analysis and evaluation were determined by processing techniques
from digital Geographic Information System images. Orbital images used were
sensor TM / Landsat-5 (1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010), Spot-4 (2012) and OLI /
Landsat-8 (2014) and the SRTM mission. It was found that the PPAs in the rivers
and springs cover an area of 296.22 ha, representing 4 % of the total basin area,
whose total area is 7405.16 ha. Time interval analyzed (1990-2014) showed a
quantified deforestation 4270.51 ha (57.66 %) of the forest cover of the basin. It
was found that 65.64 (22.16 %) of APP have been cleared. The main land use in
the basin was found to be for pasture with 4966.61 ha (67.06 %). 414-429 valdir.moura@ifro.edu.br joão.paulo.canhim@gmail.com edyrosell@unir.br wagner.walker@unir.br semestral
