| dc.description | Disabled people suffer various forms of discrimination. It begins, in many cases, the concealment of their status and attitudes of pity and underestimation by family, friends and community. They are denied the exercise of their right to free transit, social integration and employment, community and education. However, they have the same rights as the general population. Which is why this work is to analyze and publicize the legal system that enshrines the social protection of disabled persons and the public policies aimed at providing comprehensive care for this sector of the population in Venezuela. We used the method of documentary analysis. We conclude that persons with disabilities are a subject of rights and responsibilities, free to participate actively, make their own decisions and become key actors in society. While in Venezuela there is a legal system that mandates the state for creating conditions and opportunities that will enable the active participation of people with disabilities in all social aspects still continue to show various forms of discrimination. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las personas con discapacidad sufren diversas formas de discriminación. Ésta comienza, en muchos casos, con el ocultamiento de su condición y con actitudes de lástima y subestimación por parte de familiares, amigos y de la comunidad en general. Se les niega el ejercicio de su derecho al libre tránsito, a la inserción sociolaboral, comunitaria y educativa, a pesar de tener los mismos derechos que la población en general. Razón por la cual este trabajo pretende analizar y dar a conocer el ordenamiento jurídico que consagra la protección social de las personas con discapacidad, así como las políticas públicas orientadas a la atención integral de este sector de la población en Venezuela. Se utilizó el método del análisis documental. Se concluye que las personas con discapacidad son un sujetos de derechos y deberes, libres de participar activamente, tomar sus propias decisiones y ser actores protagónicos en la sociedad. A pesar de que existe en Venezuela un régimen jurídico que establece la obligatoriedad de Estado para la generación de condiciones y oportunidades que permitan la participación activa de las personas con discapacidad en todos los aspectos sociales, aún se siguen evidenciando diversas formas de discriminación. | es-ES |
