The fundamental intention of this investigation was the relation determined betweenthe Coaching and the Visionary Leadership in the managers of the small andmedium company (SME) of the municipality Maracaibo, Zulia state. For such aneffect a descriptive investigation was realized, correlacional and of field, under a notexperimental design, there was assumed a population of 477 managers by a sampleof 71 managers. There designed an instruments divided in two parts, constituted by71 articles with relation the variables and respective dimensions with five (5)alternatives of answers. The obtained results were interpreted using descriptivestatistics, Pearson's coefficient was in use, for establishing the correlation betweenthe variables, which threw a result of 1, determining that exists a perfect correlationbetween(among) the variables, coming to the conclusion that the managers possessthe qualities of an effective coach, equally those of the visionary leader, lacking thefunctions of counselor and trainer; likewise, it presents weaknesses in theformulation of the vision and of the mission of the company.El propósito fundamental de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre elCoaching y el Liderazgo Visionario en los gerentes de la pequeña y medianaempresa (PYME) del municipio Maracaibo, estado Zulia. Para tal efecto se realizóuna investigación descriptiva, correlacional y de campo, bajo un diseño noexperimental, se asumió una población de 477 gerentes con una muestra de 71gerentes. Se diseñó un (1) instrumento, constituido por 71 ítems con cinco (5)alternativas de respuestas. Los resultados obtenidos fueron interpretados usandoestadísticas descriptivas, se utilizó el coeficiente de Pearson, para establecer lacorrelación entre las variables, el cual arrojó un resultado de 1, determinando queexiste una correlación perfecta entre las variables, llegando a la conclusión que losgerentes poseen las cualidades de un coach efectivo, igualmente las del lídervisionario, careciendo de las funciones de consejero y entrenador; así mismo,presenta debilidades en la formulación de la visión y de la misión de la empresa.
