| dc.description | The main objective of the university is not so much to teach the student a wealth of knowledge pertaining to highly specialized fields, but above all, learning to learn, to ensure that the student to acquire an intellectual independence. The essay offers some contributions that try to guide the teaching praxis regarding the use of reading as a process at the service of learning mediated by critical thinking. | dc.description | El propósito de la universidad no es tanto enseñar al estudiante una variedad de conocimientos que pertenecen a campos muy especializados, sino ante todo, aprender a aprender, intentar que el estudiante llegue a adquirir una autonomía intelectual. El ensayo ofrece algunas aportaciones que procuran orientar la praxis docente en lo que refiere al uso de la lectura como proceso al servicio del aprendizaje mediado por el pensamiento crítico.
