The visual arts beyond the creative act, which seems to culminate in the work of art, is concentration of the society where it is inserted, which should be considered as a starting point for research from universities. However, it is hard to find grants for such research, since the impact of resources for the financing of this work has investigated the areas of natural science and technology was considered as guarantors of better products and more social benefits. Thus the arts which make up part of the social sciences are confronted with the inconvenience of having to be relegated. Art as a cultural fact should be brought to light with all its properties, benefits and products and this would only be through research carried conveniently considering that the human material for research is in the decent-researchers in our universities.Las artes plásticas más allá del hecho creativo, que pareciera culminar en la obra de arte, es concentración de la sociedad donde se inserta, lo que debe considerarse como punto de partida para investigaciones desde las universidades. Sin embargo, es complicado encontrar subvención para este tipo de investigaciones, puesto que la incidencia de recursos para el financiamiento de estos trabajos investigativos la posee las áreas de las ciencias naturales y de la tecnología por considerarse como garantes de mejores productos y con más beneficios sociales. Es así que las artes que conforman parte de las Ciencias Sociales, se confrontan con el inconveniente de tener que relegarse. El arte como hecho cultural debe ser sacado a la luz con todas sus propiedades, beneficios sociales y productos y esto sólo se haría a través de investigaciones convenientemente llevadas teniendo en consideración que el material humano para la investigación está en los decentes-investigadores de nuestras universidades.
