In the following essay geographical space is seen as an important curricular element in the social sciences and the challenge of teaching to the perception of knowledge and meanings of the reality that surrounds being. In the same importance it is given to the construction of learning by the child / girl Preschool level in relation to the basic concepts of geography. It is based on documentary research methodology. the information is analyzed, recognizing the importance of creativity and imagination of children, proceedings are carried out in the geographical learning , emphasizing the natural through educational social practices for the welfare of the individual and the collective ; considering also that the teaching is integral and must be clearly oriented to the discipline to be studied , case study: early childhood education, preschool and geographical science.En el siguiente ensayo se plantea el espacio geográfico como un elemento curricular importante en las ciencias sociales, ante el desafío de la enseñanza hacia la percepción del conocimiento y significados de la realidad que rodea al ser. En el mismo se le da relevancia a la construcción de aprendizajes que realiza el niño/niña del nivel Preescolar en relación a los conceptos básicos de la ciencia geográfica. Está fundamentado bajo una metodología de investigación Documental. Se analiza la información, reconociendo la importancia de la creatividad y la imaginación de los niños y niñas,  encausada en el aprendizaje geográfico, haciendo énfasis en lo natural a través de prácticas sociales educativas en pro del bienestar del individuo y el colectivo; considerando además que el proceso de enseñanza es integral y debe estar orientado netamente a la disciplina que se desea estudiar, caso concreto de estudio: educación inicial, etapa preescolar y ciencia geográfica.
