dc.descriptionCriminology is a field of polyvalent knowledge that has traditionally dealt with the study of the criminal phenomenon in three components: crime, the offender and crime. But who is responsible for the study of this phenomenon and how are they formed? In this work we will approach the state of the art in terms of the formation of Criminology in Argentina. We will present a conceptual approach to this discipline and a brief historical journey. This contextualization will allow us to understand the importance of promoting academic spaces that address the study of the criminal phenomenon and the participation of the criminology professional in public policies in charge of reducing the effects of crime. In this way it is proposed to answer the following questions: what do we talk about when we talk about Criminology? What is the status of criminology training in the region and particularly in Argentina? Is it necessary to promote undergraduate degrees in Criminology? What would be the job opportunities for Argentine criminology graduates?en-US
dc.descriptionLa Criminología es un ámbito del conocimiento polivalente que tradicionalmente se ha ocupado del estudio del fenómeno delictivo en tres componentes: el delito, el delincuente y la delincuencia. Pero, quiénes se encargan del estudio de este fenómeno y como se forman? En este trabajo nos aproximaremos al estado del arte en cuanto a la formación de la Criminología en Argentina. Presentaremos una aproximación conceptual de esta disciplina, con un breve recorrido histórico. Esta contextualización permitirá comprender la importancia de promover espacios académicos que aborden el estudio del fenómeno criminal y la participación del profesional de la criminología en las políticas públicas encargadas de disminuir los efectos de la criminalidad. De este modo se propone responder las siguientes preguntas: ¿de qué hablamos cuando hablamos de Criminología? ¿Cuál es el estado de la formación en criminología en la región y particularmente en Argentina? ¿Es necesario promover carreras de grado en Criminología? ¿Cuáles serían las salidas laborales de los egresados de criminología en Argentina?es-ES
