La base del trabajo de corrección se sustenta en la adecuación a las normas lingüísticas que correspondan de acuerdo con el texto que se le presente. Sin embargo, definir los parámetros de dichas normas o los criterios con los cuales se desarrolle la tarea son motivo de polémica en el mundo académico y editorial. El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo explicar el estado de la cuestión, describir las características de las normas y exponer los riesgos y las fortalezas que implica seguir uno u otro criterio en el proceso de corrección. Para tal fin se plantean a continuación los problemas que implica definir qué se entiende por norma, cómo se instaura, qué son las variaciones de la norma lingüística y cuáles son las otras normativas que regulan la presentación de los documentos según el entorno de publicación; se exponen, además, las diferencias en cuanto a la manifestación del enunciado, las particularidades individuales y las marcas de estilo y, por último, se describen los criterios de corrección que pueden adoptarse ante un texto.The basis of the work of correction is based on the adequacy of the linguistic rules that apply in accordance with the text which is presented. However, defining the parameters of these rules or the criteria with which the task is carried out is particularly controversial in the academic and editorial world. The objective of this research is to explain the state of the art, describe the characteristics of the standards and expose the risks and the strengths that involve following one approach or another in the correction process. For this purpose, we need to state what is meant by norm, how it is presented, which are variations of the standard language and what are the other regulations governing the submission of the documents according to the environment of publication; in addition, I exposed the differences which the enunciation presents, the individual particularities and the marks of style and, finally, it describes the criteria of correction that can be adopted before a text.
