Análisis Bibliométrico de la Investigación en Grupos Estratégicos

La bibliometría se centra en el análisis de la literatura científica de manera cuantitativa. La presente investigación es un estudio bibliométrico descriptivo y longitudinal de la producción científica de grupos estratégicos durante el periodo comprendido entre los años 1978 y 2018. Se analizaron 346 artículos publicados en la base de datos WoS, concluyéndose que el artículo más influyente es el desarrollado por Fiss (2007), el autor más relevante es Thomas, la revista con mayor reconocimiento es Strategic Management Journal, la institución más productiva es University of Illinois y el país con mayor impacto es Estados Unidos; y el mapa bibliométrico representa 3 clústeres que hacen referencia a la teoría y desempeño, a la configuración de los grupos y a la estabilidad temporal. Finalmente, se concluye que hay espacios de investigación en lo que respecta a la formulación y estimación de los modelos competitivos. AbstracBibliometrics is focused on the quantitative analysis of scientific literature. The present investigation is a descriptive and longitudinal bibliometric study about the scientific production of strategic groups between the years 1978 and 2018. We analyzed 346 articles published in the WoS database, concluding that the most influential article is the one that was written by Fiss (1997), the most relevant author is Thomas, the most recognized Journal is Strategic Management Journal, the most productive institution is University of Illinois and the country with the greatest impact is the United States; and the bibliometric map represents 3 clusters that refer to the theory and performance, the configuration of the groups and the temporal stability. Finally, it is concluded that there are research spaces regarding the formulation and estimation of competitive models
